Ever slept on the floor or the couch? How about doing that night after night and trying to learn to read at school the next day? Many kids in our schools cannot get adequate sleep because they have no bed and limited space in crowded homes. Support this project to build bunk beds for needy families with school aged children. |

| The goal of this project is to construct 25-30 bunk bed frames to be available to families with school children who have no bed in which to sleep. The selection process will be per application by school social workers in Wake County Public Schools; recipients will be chosen by directors of The Green Chair project where the frames will be constructed and stored. New mattresses will be donated by groups or individual donors. Beds will be free to recipients. The project involves interagency cooperation from three different groups. |
